The reason the drawers catch is because the tracks were assembled incorrectly from the manufacturer. My husband had to dismantle the tracks and assemble them properly in order for the drawers to open and close the way they should-smoothly. Now I love this file cabinet!

You cannot tell the front from the back of the drawers when assembling. One drawer side was found to be mirror image and had to be reconfigured. The screws in the drawer slide tracks protrude and catch.

This cabinet came with 2 "L" brackets to make the frame more rigid. They are useless. I am in construction and know how to build things well. This cabinet seems like it could just fold. The plastic rails that go along the top of the drawer were missing so the folders have nothing to hold on to and just fall into the drawer. Also the grooves that are cut into the wood for joining the panels were misaligned and very difficult to assemble. I though it was a great price when I bought it but you get what you pay for.

very nice looking piece of furniture, way nicer in a bedroom or home office than a metal file cabinet. A little tedious to assemble, but manageable, and the drawers don't slide out perfectly, but for the money it's a very sturdy, solid wood product that works reasonably well and looks good too.

Needs better written instructions for attaching Right and Left specific components such as the drawer slides. They are Not properly or adequately marked. More care should be taken in factory preassembly of drawer hardware to achieve better fit and function. Screws were driven on angles or not in completely which requires rework for the consumer. Preassembled Hanging Folder Rails (Plastic) are fixed, flimsy and cheap looking compared to the rest of the cabinet.
