I have the 1. 2 cu.ft digital safe . In the near future , it should be listed with it's standardized U. L . security rating for breach/impact resistance , right along with all of the other safes specifications , if it has a rating. That is one of the most important spec ratings to making better choices in comparing other safes of the same price/value range. That rating is not to be taken for granted .The purpose of a safe is to prevent unauthorized access even under prolonged high impact , and not just fire and water. As this safe is relatively light at only about 90 lbs empty , it still has enough room for me to add supplemental weights to prevent it from being easily "carried off" as there are no provisions for bolting it to anything. I already had a model 2087 which is the smaller version of this 2092D ,that can be used inside my apartment refrig for protecting valuable perishables. The emergency key back-up entry is a welcome improvement over the all electronic access of my early version 2087

No complaints about this safe at all. It does the job. And about the plastic handle. Well there's cheap plastic and plastic. I don't consider this cheap and guess it would take a lot to break it - if you attempted to do so.

The most important, you don't need the key for this safe. You need just to remember safe combination, It's extremely convenient.

the handle is not cheep plastic

The plastic handle feels like its going to break off easily. I wished that it was made out of metal instead of the plastic that they used. Otherwise, it serves its intended purpose for home use only. Not sure the handle will last if used in a commercial setting herein the safe needs to be access more than once a day. The keypad could have been done better by giving it a more "solid" feel as you press the keys.
