We're a family of readers and needed to create an at home library. These bookcases have deep shelves, so we can double up some books. We had some difficulty getting them to line up flush with each other. They are very heavy bookcases, so have help available to move them into place and be sure to bracket them to the wall. Very good, solid construction.
